Taking Charge of Your Fertility: The Definitive Guide to Natural Birth Control, Pregnancy Achievement, and Reproductive Health. Toni Weschler,
This ain’t your momma’s sex-ed book. In fact, I basically never knew why that sticky stuff came out of me until I read this book. There are far too many a-ha! moments to be had while reading what I’d call The Bible of Finally Understanding Being a Woman: What No One Ever Tells You. Weschler provides the must-have guide to charting, a practice that will permanently change your perspective on birth control, pregnancy achievement and all-around health.
The Garden of Fertility: A Guide to Charting Your Fertility Signals to Prevent or Achieve Pregnancy–Naturally–and to Gauge Your Reproductive Health. Katie Singer.
A fantastic supplement to TCOYF. I found this book explained the functioning of the reproductive system in a way I could better understand it than TCOYF. It is a bit newer and more up to date.
Kindara iPhone App: Fertility Tracker, Ovulation Calculator & Basal Body Temperature chart.
This app is really great for having your charts accessible all the time, if you rely heavily on your iPhone. I personally prefer charting on paper, and find that Kindara lacks certain details that blank charts provided by TCOYF have more room for. However, the charts are very customizable and easy to read on Kindara. Plus, they are easy to pull up at a moment’s notice (at a doctor’s appointment, for example) instead of carrying your packet of charts around with you.
